This is actually a small post about the ProcessingOnly report property in Dynamics NAV. You probably already know that you can use it to create a report object that acts as a code unit, but with the advantages of using data items to create nested loops and a request page to allow for dynamics filtering and user input.
When you set ProcessingOnly to yes when you create a new report, then you can’t create a layout. But when you use it on a report that already has a layout then the following confirmation pops up:
So what this means is that you can use this property to delete a layout, for example when you create a new report, based upon an existing report, via File, Save As. Don’t forget to set the property back to No, otherwise you can’t create a layout for your new report, because the option View, Layout will be disabled.
