Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 has been released, as you might have noticed on many MVP-blogs and on the Microsoft Azure platform there’s now also a Dynamics NAV 2016 template available in the gallery:

NAV2016Azure

It contains NAV 2016 pre-installed, which you will find in the menu under D:

2015-10-12_15-09-24

In the C:\DEMO folder you will find setup and demo scripts, similar then in the 2015 template:

2015-10-12_15-11-31

In order to use the Virtual Machine as a demo environment, using the demo scripts in the Virtual Machine, you will need to add the following public endpoints to the Virtual Machine:

  • HTTP 80
  • HTTPS 443
  • Client 7046
  • Soap 7047
  • Odata 7048
  • Help 49000

This is done using the Microsoft Azure Management Portal.

So if you would like to try or test-drive or try the

  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV Windows Client
  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV Web Client
  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV Tablet Client
  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV Phone Client
  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV Development Environment

without performing a local installation, this is the place to be.
